Age of Udyvia (or AoU for short) is an original work by =flabz and myself. We've been working on the story since September 2007 and on a near day-to-day basis. The story has been influenced by many sources, most notably animes like Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles and Romeo x Juliet, musicals such as Moulin Rouge and Les Miserables, and even TV shows such as Frasier.

Our story takes place in a fantasy world that parallels 1580's France. Stephen de Beaumont, alias Arctos Videlou, is our protagonist who was orphaned at the age of one and raised by ex-warrior who simply went by the name of Aiden. Following the death of Aiden, Stephen/Arctos joined his true calling-- the mafia-- whose ultimate goal was to assassinate the controversial King Michael. Stephen, impersonating a military tactician, manages to secure a position as King Michael's military advisor, where he hears that Michael is in need of protection for his daughter. When Stephen learns the reason why, he learns much more than he bargained for.

But all is not as simple for Stephen as it seems. His second-in-command, Tybalt, is plotting against him, and his rivalry with the aristocratic palace advisor Phillip makes palace life just as unbearable as his criminal life. From whom does Kayleena and her sister Marie need protection, and why is Michael so secretive about it? What kind of man was Arthur de Beaumont, and who is the one telling the truth about him? Most of all-- who is Stephen and where is he truly from?

aha, of course, Jeni. :P [when I'm prompted to use given names I feel uncomfortable, but what'llye do about it I guess :B]

Mine was as uneventful as I expected, with people even forgetting it. XD Last night was much more fun, as I was expecting. And at least you got a break from something - I had to babysit as well. ¦3

And, of course, Time Zones suck as always. Dropping by to wish you a happy birthday was the least I could do considering you did the same. :P

BTW, yes, I did finally see the cutscenes on a vid some time ago. Never knew until a couple of weeks earlier that it was all from a CD-i game. I always thought it was an actual cartoon!

Then again, that would call for better animation, I guess. Anyway, hilarious stuff!

Also saw the "Hotel Mario" scenes. You know what they say: "All toasters toast TOAST!"

Ahaha, me too! I wondered exactly where that "Link Mah Boi" scene came from and had no idea that those were cutscenes from an actual game. Looked like one of those cheaper direct-to-video movies to me. XDDDDDD There was also a Legend of Zelda cartoon that had just as many memorable catchphrases as the CD-I games, particularly Link and his ad nauseum "Hey! Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me, princess!" ;p

LMAO!!! "All toasters toast TOAST!" And "Nice of the princess to invite us over for a picnic, Gay [eh,] Luigi?" "I hope she made lotsa SPAGHETTI!" A few guys made live-action versions of the Hotel Mario and Legend of Zelda games, if I remember correctly. Have you seen them? (:
